Few things are more frustrating than dying in a game because your character froze for half a second. That delay is your ping, the time it takes for data to travel from your device to a server and back. It's measured in milliseconds (ms). Under 50ms feels smooth, 50 to 100ms is fine for most games, and anything above 100ms starts to hurt. The good news is that most high ping is fixable at home.
